Yesterday Hayden asked me, "Why do you go to the bathroom so much?" He makes me laugh.
This will be my last weekly pregnancy post! This is probably old news to everyone reading this, but I found out yesterday at my doctor's appointment I'll be induced tomorrow! My doctor said I was 1 1/2 cms dilated and gave me the option of being induced tomorrow or waiting until the 27th. I'm not sleeping now, so I'd rather not sleep because I have a sweet newborn baby to hold and love on. (Give me a few weeks and I may not be singing that tune...) The heartbeat was 135bpm, so it was back down this week.
I'm not nervous about labor or delivery. I am feeling a bit anxious about how Hayden & Allie will do with out me being home for 2 1/2 days. They will be spending most of their time at the hospital, but bed time and breakfast routines will be different for them. I know Kevin can handle it, but I'm sure I'll hate telling them goodbye at night. Now that I think about it, they will probably have a blast being with their daddy, and it's going to be harder on me than any one else!
I am SO excited to find out if this baby is a boy or girl. My official guess is... girl. It seems like most people are guessing it's a boy, so it will be fun to see who is right! My other guesses are the baby will weigh 7lbs 8oz, be 20.5 inches long, and will arrive at 1:13pm. Clearly, those are all guesses!
For the most up to date info on when the baby arrives, check my facebook. I plan on letting everyone on facebook know the sex, name, weight, etc, but I'll save all the details of the birth for my blog. Say some extra prayers for me and my family this week!

Only When I'm Pregnant - 38 Weeks
My toes are pretty and I'm ready to deliver.... buuuut baby isn't quite ready yet. Rats.
No real swelling to report, but I'm still having lots of pressure and hip/back pain. Yesterday I had my weekly checkup. I was really hoping I had made some progress, but no such luck. Everything was still the same as last week. (1 cm, 50%, baby very low) The baby's heartbeat was 152. I was having boy feelings the last couple days, but with that high heart beat, I'm back to thinking girl. The only news I got from the doctor about D-Day (Delivery Day) was that next week, if I've progressed to 2cms or more, she will induce me that week (that's just over a week from today). If I'm still at 1cm, I will have to wait till two more weeks, and get induced the day after my due date... of course I'm really hoping for the sooner D-Day...
I feel like I could eat 24/7. I never really feel full, but if I don't eat every few hours I get crazy hungry. Some of my favorite foods continue to be chocolate and caramel. I also had a strong craving for a strawberry/almond/spring salad and gooey cake.
Yesterday after my appointment I did some thrifting and picked up several shirts I am hoping to wear post delivery. It's always an awkward time when none of your old clothes fit... and I'd rather poke my eyes out then keep wearing maternity clothes... so I'm hoping with the "bigger" clothes, I'll be able to get out of the house with out being 100% self conscience (and I really struggle with that post delivery).

Only When I'm Pregnant - 37 Weeks (FULL TERM!)
I'm sure Kevin is so over me being pregnant. He reminded me many times this weekend that I'm impossible to please as he helped do dishes and laundry and clean up (I think he meant only when I'm pregnant am I impossible to please, and he wasn't doing things the way I do them and it was frustrating me). Between hormones/food cravings/pains/daily commitments and responsibilities, I some days struggle just to function and get everything done! Then I have hungry kids demanding meals be made and I go half crazy when my house is a disaster. Have I mentioned all 4 of us have a cold? That's just the icing on the cake. I'm hoping we are all cleared up in time for the baby's arrival!
Hooray for being FULL TERM!!! Dear Baby #3, you are welcome to come out any time you wish! The nursery is put back together since getting a fresh coat of yellow paint and my hospital bag is ready to go just in case (as ready as it can be anyways). I'm planning on being induced, but I like to be ready for anything. My boy and girl newborn clothes are washed, and so are my new Dr. Brown bottles. If we had the baby today, the only thing I'd have to panic about is I haven't got my pedicure yet! No one wants to go to the hospital with ugly toes....

Only When I'm Pregnant - 36 weeks

Baby is getting bigger!
I posted Monday about my new found love for Raspberry Lemonade and I think I could live off this drink. I wish it were sugar free so I wouldn't feel any guilt while drinking it. I did pick up a container of cottage cheese this weekend just because it sounded good, and that's not something I buy all the time. Guess I'd consider that a pregnancy craving (or maybe my body is trying to balance out all the sugar I've been drinking with that darn lemonade!)
This past week Kevin took the middle seat out of my middle row. I LOVE it! Hayden will sit in the 3rd row, and Allie and the new baby will sit in the middle row. It will just be easier for Hayden to get in and out. Hayden was actually disappointed we took the middle seat out because he loved climbing over it. We also got one coat of paint done in the baby's room. The 2nd (and hopefully final) coat will go on tonight or tomorrow when Kevin is up and moving. This week, I'm hoping to get my hospital bags as packed as possible and get the baby's room completely put together.
I had my 36 week check up yesterday. I'm not dilated at all (BOO!) and I'm 20% effaced. The heart beat was 135bmp, This past week I've been leaning more towards "boy" than "girl"... Kevin and I finalized the names. We decided to change the middle name of both our boy and girl choices! We both are happy with both names now.

Only When I'm Pregnant - 35 Weeks
35 weeks
If I had to guess the baby's sex, 4-5 days a week I'd probably guess girl, then the other 2-3 days I'd guess boy. I'm really starting to second guess my name selection. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this, but Kevin picked our boy name and I get to pick the girl name. There are a couple really different names that I love, but since Hayden & Allie are pretty common names, I feel like I have to have a pretty common name this time too. The one I originally picked fit all my categories (2 syllables is my biggest requirement.) I also have a middle name in mind and it's hard to pair with a first name.... so I'm wondering if I should just change the middle name. I don't remember stressing about the name this much the first two go arounds.
I knocked out about half of my to-do list this past week (making big bro/sis shirts, getting the crib bedding washed and put together, making Sept/Oct menus were some of the bigger things I completed)! I'm hoping to get a few more big things crossed off my list this week (like washing all my boy and girl newborn clothes and getting the room painted {which Kevin is doing}). Baby will be here before I know it!

Only When I'm Pregnant - 34 Weeks
Yesterday I had my 34 week checkup. Baby should weigh just over 5lbs. My belly is still measuring small (31 weeks) but the doc isn't concerned. The heartbeat was 135. Not finding out the sex has made this quite an interesting waiting game! As soon as I start leaning one way, something will make me change my mind. I have a feeling I'm going to go into this delivery still having no clue - and I'm ok with that :)
My next appointment is 2 weeks away. I have to get routine blood work and I'll have my first pelvic exam. I'm usually dialated 1 cm by that appointment, so I hope the same is true the 3rd time around. I'd LOVE to go into labor on my own this time, so let's pray that happens. There are definitely advantages of getting induced, but we've never got to experience the excitement of calling people saying, "It's time!" (I'd love to call Kevin at work and say, "GET HOME NOW!" haha!)
Allie has really come around the last couple weeks. She is slowly learning to be gentle and how to treat a baby. (I think it's really helped my little niece, Eleanor, got here when she did!) We are going to be setting up the nursery over the next month and I think I'll let Allie set her baby dolls in the swing and crib and diaper changing table so she will see what I'll be doing with our new baby. As for Hayden and the cats, I think they will adjust very well to #3's arrival.
Lastly, I'm also considering doing some Christmas shopping now because I think it will be easier! Lots of things to think about the next few weeks...

Only When I'm Pregnant - 33 Weeks
Let's start with some good news... Last week I ordered our new laptop! The bad news is its not here yet, but it should be here by the end of the week, which means by next week, you an expect regular consistent blog postings from me! I'm probably the only one excited about that, but I have missed blogging!
About being pregnant, I think I'm growing by the day... Which means baby is growing! His/her kicks and movements are becoming uncomfortable. I'm also getting up to pee about once a night. I also have a mild case of pregnancy insomnia, so my wonderful nights of 8 solid hours of sleep have sadly come to and end. I also have an internal alarm clock that goes off @ 5:30 each morning and I'm not able to go back to sleep. Most days I try to get a little 30-60 min nap while Allie sleeps. Hayden is so good and sits right next to me and watches tv while i snooze.
I've eaten tons of raspberries lately (paired with some marshmallow cream fruit dip). I had a cold the last 2 weeks, complete with pink eye, sinus headaches, sore thriat, ear aches. I lost my ability to tadte and smell so i ate no fun foods. Kevin did get me Panera chicken noodle soup for a coupke meals and although i couldnt taste it, it was fantastic! Now that may taste is back, so is my appetite!
I'm still not feeling 100% about the sex of the baby. I wanted to have a couple new things for this baby for its newborn photo shoot and my super sweet friend, Deanna, posted a picture of knitted pumpkin hats she making. (they are raising money to fund the adoption of their new baby girl). I was thrilled to buy one and happy to suppoirt her. I got that this week and I can't wait to see how it looks on our little pumpkin! :)
We had an appointment and ultrasound last week and 7 days ago the baby weighed 4lb 3oz, which was 50th percent for weight, which is perfect! The heartbeat was 138. That's the lowest it's ever been during an appointment. Next week will start 2 week appointments ad the beginning of September I'll be going weekly! Wow this has gone fast! I'm hoping in the next 2 weeks to get the baby's room together (with the help of my sis while she is home!)

Only When I'm Pregnant - 31 Weeks
Baby should be over 3lbs this week. I'm still feeling exceptionally well for being in my 3rd trimester. I'm anxiously awaiting my doctors appointment next week!
I do have a stronger feeling about the sex of the baby. I'd say I'm about 70% sure. This next month we'll be preparing the nursery and getting the last of the items we still need for baby. I've already started a stack of things to put in my hospital bag!
Hayden is probably the most excited of us all for the baby to get here. He is daily asking me questions about the baby and asking me to show him a picture of how big the baby is now. He loves sitting next to me with his hand on my belly and singing songs to baby. Allie is still pretty clueless about the whole thing. She needs mommy's full attention and I think she may not be very thrilled about having to share me with another kiddo. Maybe she'll surprise me? I'm off to buy a Big Sister book for her today and hopefully that will get her excited :)

Only When I'm Pregnant - 30 Weeks
I feel like the end is in sight! 30 weeks is 3/4 of the way done! I'm hoping the baby is packing on the pounds. I didn't take many pictures of me pregnant with Hayden or with Allie so I can't really compare how big I am to when I was pregnant with them. I feel like I look different than I did with both of them. I also have had some delicious cravings this past week... chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing, chocolate chip cookies, broccoli cheese casserole, homemade bread, cinnamon rolls..... okay, you don't really need to know how unhealthy I ate! :)
I can't believe I'm still sleeping as good as I am. I don't drink anything after 8pm, so I don't have to pee multiple times a night. The only time I wake up is when the kids wake me up. I was hoping to start walking again in the evenings but it's still so hot. No swelling in my ankles or hands - yet! I know that's just a matter of time too.
The baby is getting close to 3lbs. S/he will be packing on pounds (hopefully) the next 10 weeks. Looking forward to my next baby appt and ultrasound at the end of the month!

Only When I'm Pregnant - 29 Weeks
29 weeks and I'm up 29lbs. I'm hoping to stick to the 1lb a week weight gain that's typical in the 3rd trimester.... but I also want to make sure this baby is big and growing, so honestly I'm not watching what I eat at all! A perk of being pregnant, I guess :)
I get to pre-register this week at the Women's Hospital. It just makes delivery day that much more real! The baby is approximately 15 inches long from head to heel. I am growing more and more uncomfortable by the day, but it's still not all that bad.
I'm supposed to track movement and feel 10 moves within an hour. I can do this about 15 times a day and can feel 10 movements in about 5 minutes. This baby is a mover!
No swelling yet, and my wedding rings still fit!

Only When I'm Pregnant - 28 Weeks
Happy 4th of July!
At my appointment they told me the baby is only in the 40th percentile for weight and I'm not measuring as far along as I am (only measuring 25 weeks). They scheduled another ultrasound for my next appointment to check on baby's growth, but all the organs/fluid/movement are perfect and normal so they said there is no reason to be concerned. We are just praying the baby stays in the 40th percentile or has a big growth spurt and is in the 50th-60th percentile!
I'm starting to feel big in the belly and I've noticed some things are more of a challenge. Challenge #1 - sitting for long periods of time. Challenge #2 - bending over to pick something up. Challenge #3 - staying cool. Challenge #4 - not over doing it. I have had to limit my cleaning/organizing time to hour long sessions. If I don't stop, I get really hot and light headed and my back aches. I take a break and make lists and plan what I'll do the next hour I have to be productive!
I've had this craving for caramel that I didn't really realize I had. I think it started when we were in Florida and I had a salted caramel ice cream. I've caught myself pinning, on Pinterest, lots of recipes that include caramel. I also decided this week I needed ice cream at walmart and selected a turtle ice cream that has a swirl of caramel. (Let's not talk about the huge bowls of ice cream I eat before bed!)
I'm still sleeping good and haven't started swelling yet. I know those days will be here soon, so I'm really trying to be thankful for that! Baby is weighing in at 2lbs 8oz. Here's a sweet profile shot we got yesterday at our ultrasound.... and I think baby has the same profile as my little Allie...... what do you think? Boy or Girl? Oh and the heartbeat was 156 - and I'm still carrying low.

Only When I'm Pregnant - 26 Weeks
I'm definitely feeling a difference between the 2nd and 3rd trimester!!! One day I turned our AC down to 69 because I was burning up! I have a feeling I will be freezing everyone out of the house this summer. I also am struggling to get up off the floor once I sit down. And that darn sciatic pain is back and isn't being very nice. Monday I gave myself a huge to do list and I wasn't going to let anything slow me down. Well, my back did slow me down, but I kept moving and going (maybe when I should have stopped) and yesterday I had to spend the day recuperating.
I'm up 25lbs. I'm still hoping to not go over 40lbs but my cravings have been a little nuts lately. This past weekend I had a bad chocolate craving. Overall, Kevin has had more cravings than I have! He will wake up and tell me he has to have Hacienda, or he will die if he doesn't get a snow cone. I don't think he got the memo I'm the pregnant one!
Baby is continuing to move 24/7. I don't think this child ever rests. Not only do I feel the kicks a lot more, but I can see my belly move when the baby decides to move. It's pretty cool :) So, other than being hot all the time and having to slow down, life is pretty much normal.
Oh yes, I do need to mention one more thing.... I spent about 90 minutes one day picking out the best of the best fabric for my bedding I planned on making. I put it all in my online shopping cart and it totaled $108. I was a little bummed it cost that much, so I just decided to check on eBay to see what some of their sets were going for. I found an adorable taupe/white/giraffe print that made me say aww. It was a 9 piece set for $109.99 shipped. I thought about it overnight and decided to just buy the one on eBay. My sister and I discussed the best accent color and narrowed it down to red or yellow :) Kevin and I decided on yellow. Time to start painting and decorating! (I've almost got all of Allie's old stuff cleaned out of her room!)

Only When I'm Pregnant - 25 Weeks
I'm guilty of eating 2 Roy Boy snow cones this week. I also made caramel corn. Oh, should I even mention I bought a gallon of lemonade from Chick Fil A? This baby definitely got his/her fill of sugar this week! I did eat lots of fresh fruit to try to help balance out my cravings. Sams had a good selection for cheap and I stocked up! The other thing I craved this week was salami. I planned on getting some ham from the deli counter at Walmart and then I saw the salami and it just spoke to me. I've actually gone back for another bag of it! Not sure why that's hitting the spot.
Kevin can attest that one day this week my hormones went a bit crazy and I was a crying mess for a couple hours. Darn the hormones! Minus my little melt down, the week was great. I purchased fabric for crib sheets. They are a work in progress. I will post pictures when they are done. (Unless I fail and/or give up - and if that's the case, I'll let you know that too!)
The baby is moving a ton these days! I know I said that last week, but it seems like every day there is more movement! Allie was a non-stop mover in my belly and I think #3 is taking after their sister. At my last doctor's appointment, I had my glucose test, which came back just fine, but they said my iron was low, so I'm taking a supplement. I had to do that with Hayden too. My doctor also said she wanted to do another ultrasound at 28 weeks. I'm excited to see my baby more filled out and hoping this baby cooperates for some good 4D pictures (Allie never did)!
Hayden is slightly obsessed with my belly. I actually think it's cute. Every day he talks to me belly, gives the baby hugs, and rarely forgets to give the baby a kiss goodnight. None of you other creepers have permission to do any of that! :) Hayden has gone with me to my last couple appointments and he seems to enjoy them. I have all my appointments scheduled until 39 weeks - I also am going to do my pre-registering soon. Can't Wait For September!!!

Only When I'm Pregnant - 24 Weeks
Goodbye second trimester! I've really enjoyed the last 12 weeks of pregnancy. Overall I felt great, slept great, had exciting doctor's appointments - and my oh my the time has flown by! I'm already thinking ahead to the birth - what will be different, will the baby look like Hayden or Allie, will "it" be a girl or boy. I still haven't felt the rush to kick Allie out of her room and get the baby's room ready, although Allie is really excited and ready to move into Hayden's room. Maybe when I reach the 30's (meaning weeks) I'll get things in gear.
As of yesterday, I am up 23lbs. Could be better, could be worse. I remember how upset I was about the weight I gained with Hayden - and I was a little upset too when pregnant with Allie - but I've lost all the weight I gained both times, so I keep reminding myself it's only temporary.
I've been going absolutely crazy for caramel corn. I have my glucose test today and my doctor advised me not to over due the sugar a few days prior to the test........ so I've eaten just about everything in sight to get my mind off caramel corn, but it's not working. Momma wants caramel corn! You'd think I'd plan on making it today, but I found a recipe for a giant chocolate chip cookie that is supposed to taste similar to Great American Cookies cookie cakes, so me and the kids are trying that tonight. (If it's worthy of sharing the recipe, I absolutely will!)
Still dealing with some sciatic pain (usually in the mornings and evenings). My uterus is the size of a soccer ball this week! That's getting pretty big! The baby weighs over a pound and from head to rear is about 12 inches long - no wonder I can feel these kicks a lot more! OH, and Kevin felt the baby move for the first time Saturday night. That's always fun for the both of us :)

Only When I'm Pregnant - 23 Weeks
Nesting has overtaken me! Every free minute I have, I'm thinking of ways to reorganize and planning what's the next thing I need to clean. Kevin is probably getting fed up with all my ideas, but they really are good suggestions! A lot of the "suggestions" just require him to build something or fix something... we still have 17 weeks or so to get it all done :)
I'm throwing around the idea of making Baby #3's bedding. I found some patterns that don't look too overly complicated. I know I've never really sewn anything, so this may seem like a bigger challenge than I think. I'm going to go price some material this week and pick out some colors. I know it will be cheaper to make it than buy it, so that's my motivation!
Chocolate and Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri's from Cheeseburger in Paradise are my only big cravings this week. Looking forward to next week when I have another doctor's appointment! (And hopefully a new computer so I can stay more up to date with my blog!)

Only When I'm Pregnant - 22 Weeks
As I mentioned in week 21, I've been craving chocolate. We bought some fudge from a shop in Destin that I've snacked on all week! I will be majorly disappointed when it's all gone because it's the BEST fudge I've ever eaten!!!
I'm not feeling regular movements from the baby yet, but when I do feel him/her, they are noticeably stronger kicks and punches! Baby seems to move when I put Allie and Hayden down for naps/quiet time and after they go to bed (pretty much the two times of day I sit down and relax). I've told Hayden he'll be able to feel the baby move soon and he's anxious for the time to get here!
I gained 4lbs on our Destin trip, which kind of bums me out! I'm hoping in the next week the number on the scale goes down to what it was before Destin. We walked a lot on vacation and I kept thinking all the walking was compensating for the eating, but clearly it wasn't! My rings still fit - hoping they do the whole way through. No swell to report yet. I am glad I didn't cut my hair off early on like I thought about doing. I've never had long hair while I've been pregnant and I like having the option to straighten it or throw it up in a pony tail! That's about all the randomness I have for this week :)

Only When I'm Pregnant - 21 Weeks - Beach Edition!
The only craving I had in the last week and a half has been chocolate. I've had no symptoms or any other cravings or food aversions. I know that's really boring!
The pregnancy highlight from our vacation was Hayden walked in on me in the bathroom while I was getting ready and he looked at me and said as serious as ever, "I like your baby". I tried to carry on a conversation with him but I busted out laughing thinking that was is one of the cutest things he's ever said!
I'm starting to feel really big. I feel like my belly has doubled in the last couple weeks.
I did read baby was the size of a banana this week - unfortunately it looks like I've swallowed about a half dozen bananas! :-/

Only When I'm Pregnant - Week 20
Half Way There!!! Woo Hoo!!!
It's been a really good week. I still have my usual energy level (unless I don't sleep well at night, but I have been). I started nesting a little on Monday and cleaned from 6am-noon, only stopping to get the kids breakfast, a snack, and lunch. Two days + a birthday later, my house is back to being a wreck. It's driving me bonkers so I'll be cleaning as soon as I get my errands run today!
The cravings are in full swing right now! I texted Kevin at 10:30 one night and told him if I didn't have some apple cinnamon cheerios, I was going to chew my arm off. He kindly brought some home for me that next morning and I had 2 big bowls full for breakfast. I also late last week decided I had to have a piece of turtle pie from Lics. It was pretty much amazing. I'm looking forward to my first Roy Boy snow cone this week since they are now open! :) I refused to weigh myself today because yesterday I hate huge heavy meals all day! I'm convinced the # is higher than it normally would be so I'll wait till next Wednesday to see how much I've gained.
I had baby fever really bad this week... maybe it had something to do with Hayden turning four and I'm in denial about how fast he's grown up? I'm really looking forward to having a newborn again though! I've had the best two labors and deliveries and overall hospital experiences.

Only When I'm Pregnant - Week 19 (ultrasound week!)
This past week was a roller coaster but things have shifted back to smooth sailing! I went from being nauseous and not eating hardly anything at the beginning of the week, to wanting to eat everything and not being able to fill full! My favorite thing I ate this week was a piece of turtle pie from Lics. I'm glad I opted for a piece rather than a while pie because I could have eaten a whole one! I have it in the back of my head that I may try to make a derby pie this weekend! It sounds really good and Kevin agreed to try it if I make it! (He refuses to eat pie insisting he hates it, even though he's really never tried it!)
This morning I have an ultrasound followed by a doctors appointment. I'm looking forward to seeing this baby! I hope s/he cooperates and we can get a 4D face picture! I'm also anxious to find out the heart beat! I'm back to being 50/50 on this baby's gender! If I can get our computer running enough, I will upload the ultrasound pics :) Who doesn't love them?!
My belly is really popping and I wore m maternity capris and shorts almost all week. They were sooo comfortable! I also felt the baby move several times, but the last couple days I was feeling some strong kicks or punches! I love this part of being pregnant! When I'm not pregnant, feeling the baby move is what I miss the most!
I'm waiting to weigh myself at my doctors visit. My goal was to have only gained a total of 12lbs but I'm fairly certain I went over! No worries! Looking forward to next weeks check in when the Bun will be half way baked! :)

Only When I'm Pregnant - Week 18
I'm hoping this next week goes by quickly! One week from today is my next doctors appointment and we'll get to have an ultrasound. I think Hayden is going to go with us, and I'm excited he wants to go. I will admit, I'm getting a little more curious about the sex of this baby and the thought about finding out has crossed my mind more than once. I know Kevin would never go for it, and because he can wait, I guess I can too. (And I kind of want to torture my BFF Amy like she has done me with her last couple pregnancies! Have I mentioned she's pregnant too? Baby #4 is due on Halloween, but she has a history of going a month early, so we may be having our babies close to the same time!)
I caught a little stomach bug on Monday that lasted till Tuesday. I think it's what Allie had last week. I lost my appetite the last few days so I don't have any fun cravings to report. The only other sad thing left to report is my sound sleeping days are behind me. I'm waking up multiple times a night either because I'm uncomfortable or I have to pee. Last night as I struggled to find a suitable sleeping position, I started doing the math in my head - 5 more months of sleeping like this, then another 6-8 months of sleep deprivation once baby gets here. I almost cried. That's the other thing! I've been a ball of emotions lately! If I think about anything for too long, it gets me teary eyed. I don't remember doing this with Hayden or Allie.
This week I bought a pair of maternity jean capris and maternity jean shorts (My mom had an extra 30% off at Kohls so I couldn't resist). The ones I have are too big and I know I need some for next month when we go to Florida. I hope the weather warms up enough here at home for me to start wearing them frequently too. I have a tub of summer maternity clothes and a tub of winter maternity clothes and I haven't broken into either of them. I really just want to open the summer stuff and start wearing it, but I really need the winter clothes with the cold temps we've been having. I guess I will just keep wearing my regular cotton shirts and let my growing belly bust out of them.
