I must confess, I don't really decorate for any holiday except Christmas. I try to keep my apothecary jars filled with seasonal things, but that doesn't always happen. I'm a work in progress, and that's something I want to work on! My sis posted this
blog about the cutest acorns I've ever seen in my life. I didn't want to spend the money on super cute ones, so I did the next best thing... used what I had and did it for free! We have a wonderful oak tree out back that produces big beautiful acorns. My neighbors, once again, probably thought I lost it if they saw me picking acorns off our tree. I borrowed some paint from momma. After an hour, my jar was half way filled. I may get some different paint colors and go pick some more! Super easy and cheap.
Side note: My kids LOVED picking acorns off the ground. It's a good way to practice counting too.

| Much better! :) I'm going to leave some unpainted ones in the mix. |

| WARNING: A little wormy crawled out of one of the acorns. I was totally grossed out, but I'm going to try to erase this mental picture so I can do round 2 of acorn painting this week! |
