1. Austin turned 4 months old on Saturday and had his well check on Monday. He's "thriving" as the doctor said. He weighed in at 18lbs 1oz, which was 91% for babies his age. He is 27 inches long, which was 99% for babies his age. (At Hayden's 4 month checkup, he was 16lbs 3oz and 26 inches... And we thought he was big!) Lately he's been grabing anything he can get his hands on and chewing, chewing, chewing! He loves all the kids but is especially fond of Krissy. He thinks everything she does is worthy of a big smile and giggle. When we are out and about, he's so quiet we sometimes forget he's there (that has seriously happened more than once). He's been spitting up a little more but still nothing like the girls did! I bought rice cereal for him to try. He thinks spoon feedings are funny and he doesn't really get the concept of swallowing yet!
2. I saw lots of cute hair styles on Pinterest that I wanted to try. Most of the week I stay home. I pat myself on the back if I take a shower and do my makeup, so it really doesnt cross my mind to style my hair. I felt a lot more put together when I spent some time on myself!
3. We got ceces electric fence moved out back. We've been waiting about a year for this to get done (we'd still have TJ if it would have been moved when I asked...). So all that is fantastic, but she's running through the fence. It looks like she has some mats of fur on her neck and she's not getting shocked like she should be! I made her an appointment to get groomed next week so I'm crossing my fingers the mats are the problem and there's not a problem with the fence. I'll update you next week!
4. Austin makes the saddest pouty lip I've ever seen! Exhibit A:
5. I wanted to mow this week. Kevin and I usually fight over who gets to mow bc we both enjoy that chore. Well I won... And I mowed the first non-rainy day we had this week. I avoided spots in the backyard that looked really wet. The mower is heavy and it's easy to get stuck if you aren't careful. Well I was proud to say I'd never gotten stuck...... until this week! We ended up having to pull it out with the Expedition. Kevin thought it was funny while I was just mad at myself for getting stuck. Lesson learned. It's wet behind our barn.
